King Charles III met privately with Bangladesh’s Chief Adviser and Nobel Peace Prize winner Professor Muhammad Yunus at Buckingham Palace on Thursday, just before the King Charles III Harmony Award ceremony.
The monarch has long praised Yunus for his pioneering work in microcredit, social business, and his “Three Zeros” vision: zero poverty, zero unemployment, and zero net carbon emissions.
According to Buckingham Palace, the two leaders discussed pressing global issues including poverty eradication, economic sustainability, and climate change. King Charles previously contributed the foreword to one of Yunus’ books, highlighting their long-standing professional admiration.
